Ingredients
  

Bagel Dough

  • 1 1/4 cups cottage cheese blended until smooth
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 egg for egg wash

Toppings

  • everything bagel seasoning optional
  • flaky sea salt or kosher salt optional
  • sesame seeds, garlic flakes, cinnamon sugar, or Parmesan optional toppings

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and place baking sheet or pizza stone inside.
  • Blend cottage cheese until smooth using a blender or food processor.
  • In a medium bowl, combine blended cottage cheese, flour, and baking powder. Mix until a sticky dough forms.
  • Lightly flour your work surface. Divide dough into four pieces. Shape each into a ball and press your thumb through to form a bagel shape.
  • Place shaped bagels on parchment paper. Brush tops with egg wash and add desired toppings.
  • Transfer parchment onto the hot baking sheet or stone. Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Let bagels rest at least 10 minutes before slicing to avoid a gummy center.
